This was the best accommodation we have stayed at in Amsterdam. The decor and furnishing was beautiful, the location was quiet yet within easy walking distance to shops and main tourist attractions. Best of all was Francois, the owner and his amazing continental breakfasts!

Francois was very informative about the Posthoorn building itself and tips for tourists. It was great to stay in such a beautiful building and room. The breakfast was tasty and substantial. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Amsterdam. The location was perfect, within walking distance of everything, away from the unattractively touristy-packed center. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a lovely room that had a great view of the canal. The staff were very helpful, providing us with a delicious breakfast each morning.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

Fair location
Not value for money at all. was advertise as an apartment but it is only a room with a two small electrical stove. Not qualify as kitchenette at all. It's like a hotel and owner being not flexible with request of earlier breakfast time. Miss out our check out time and yelling us to get back to pay. Gosh - we've international flight to catch! it's just very naive and unprofessional. Paid way too much - Euro 160/night for a 25m square baby room which was falsely advertised as an apartment.

We had a romantic escape in this hotel and there were a couple of aspects we liked. First, the room was cozy and had a comfortable bed. Second, the breakfast served in the morning was delicious and gave us energy for the day. , the location was great, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby.
There were several things we didn't like. The room was quite small and lacked proper ventilation, which made it feel stuffy and uncomfortable at times.

The location is fantastic, in the center of Amsterdam yet not in the busiest place, which makes it a really relaxing spot. A really beautiful and charming B&B in a traditional Amsterdam building from centuries ago (the house was actually a post office in the past, hence the name "Posthoorn"). Excellent breakfast and nice views of the nearby canal and organic market opposite the canal on saturday morning. Staff gave us a warm welcome and took great care of us during our stay. This is the perfect stay for a romantic city break

To describe all good impressions that we got from The Posthoorn Amsterdam just with a few words is impossible. But we try: The Posthoorn is perfectly located at one of the central canals where everything of interest is in walking distance of max. 20 minutes, the popular quarter "Jordaans" is pretty close just on the other side of the canal. The landlord is veeery friendly, he provides lots of interesting information and of course any help if required, the accomodation is very clean with a tasteful design and includes a kitchenette with tea and cofee for free disposal. Furthermore, and in contrast to many other Amsterdam accomodations, a very delicous continental breakfast is included. This is definitely a place to keep in mind for future Amsterdam trips.

The location is perfect, situated in a lovely residential area, away from the crowds of tourists. The service was excellent, with a friendly and knowledgeable host who gave us great recommendations for restaurants and attractions. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed, including a mini-bar and a sitting area. We especially loved the patio, where we could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Spent Christmas in a beautifully decorated hotel located in a charming residential area with easy access to local restaurants and landmarks. the host provided complimentary breakfast every morning that included freshly baked croissants and a variety of delicious bread. the room was clean, cozy, and included a small kitchenette area.
The walls were a bit thin, and we could hear some noise from outside and other guests. the street facing room didn't have a great view as it faced a brick wall.
